Want to know more about your partner? Try this technique.
Take a walk with your partner; ideally along a beach, a clifftop or in a forest, somewhere that you can have a sense of peace, freedom and confidentiality.
Ask them to describe themselves in 4 words and ask yourself the same question.
Take it in turns to share. While your partner is sharing, look at them and listen intently. Observe not just what they are saying but also how they seem to be feeling as they are saying these 4 words.
Pause and then, if you want to, explore what each of these words really means to them. Allow them to do the same to you.
Reflect on what their description makes you feel.
What do you now know about them and what they think of themselves.
